Romanian poultry breeder and processor Safir Group have celebrated the 22nd year of its founding with the inauguration of their new poultry feed plant. The feed factory operating under the name Nutriva, was built with an investment of 5 million Euros.
The new feed mill allows for an integration of production allowing the company to better supervise product quality. The plant has a processing capacity of 15 tonnes per hour of pelleted feed, its product will be primarily produced for the group's own farmers and partners. It covers an area of about 2ha and include silos for raw materials and finished products.
The feed production process begins in the company's own laboratory, equipped with the latest technology at a cost of 150,000 Euros. There is careful selection of grains to used in the feed to ensure their poultry stock receives the best nutrition for their various stages of growth. After undergoing another quality control, the final product is then ready to be transported to poultry farms, using the company's own specialised transport machinery.
