Bröring look to expand their Spelle plant with a new hammer mill

German feed producers Bröring Group, who produce feed at six different locations in Germany, are planning on increasing the capacity of their Spelle feed mill with the purchase of a new hammer mill.

The new hammer mill being purchased is the Van Aarsen GD1400 hammer mill with automatic sieve change system, from Dutch feed machinery manufacturers Van Aarsen.

The hammer mill equipped with a frequency controlled main motor and Van Aarsen’s successful automatic sieve changing system, is expected to optimise production at the Spelle plant.

Talking about the hammer mill, Van Aarsen say that the " automatic sieve change system enables full automatic recipe controlled sieve change between the batches and thus vastly increases the flexibility and output of the mill," they continue saying that "a wide variety of feed structures can be produced with the combination of frequency controlled hammer mill speed and automatic sieve change."

Bröring's feed mill at Spelle was previous updated in 2009/2010 when it updated its raw material acceptance and silos with equipment from H.Wolking.

The new hammer mill is scheduled to be commissioned in autumn 2013.
