Aviagen starts operation of its new and modern feed mill plant

Global poultry company Aviagen, has started operating its new feed plant, located in Itai, in São Paulo.

"The new plant provides us with both a cost-efficient facility and highest quality feed," said Jonivan Paloschi, PS production manager of Aviagen Latin America. "Our plant is already operating at 100% capacity, providing all the feed consumed on Aviagen internal breeding stock farms," he added.

The feed mill is equipped with modern technology and utilizes the "FIFO" (First In, First Out) operating procedure. All feed is heat-treated to eliminate potential pathogens and provide the highest quality feed to maintain the excellent health status of Aviagen’s poultry breeding stock.

Additionally, the new feed mill follows strict company biosecurity protocols that also ensure the feed is free from contaminants capable of threatening the health of its broiler breeding flocks.

"This is an important step in the company's growth in the region. The new Aviagen feed mill combines modern design and technology to provide top quality and safe feed for our farms, which ultimately is reflected in the quality of stock we delivery to our customers," commented Ivan Lauandos, president of Aviagen Latin America.

"Our biggest goal is to have a feed ration of high micro-biological quality, free from pathogens, in order to contribute to the entire poultry chain," concluded Ivan.
