Seminar on compound feed industry on April 14

Vadodara, April 8: The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) will hold its 8th national seminar for Popularisation of Oilmeal Usage in Compound Cattle, Poultry and Aqua Feeds, here beginning April 14.

The seminar, to be jointly organised by SEA and American Soybean Association at Hotel Taj Residency, will discuss on the theme "Quality Awareness-Need of the Hour'. Under Quality Meal to Quality Feed topic, areas like effective usage of solvent extracted protein meals through by-pass protein technology in the ration of dairy animals, cost effective utilisation of oilmeals and other by-products in feed industry and good manufacturing practices in oil and feed industries will be discussed. While under Demand and Supply Situation, it will discuss future transformation of compound feed industry in India and, issues and outlook for the animal feed sector in India.



It has also a session for Price Outlook for Feed and Feed Ingredients where price behaviour and forecast of feed ingredients, and impact of retail chain on poultry industry will be talked about. The seminar will be supported by a number of leading associations and organisations linked with the compound feed industry across the country. Charusheela Sohoni, Secretary in Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Agriculture will be the chief guest on the occasion and Rahul Kumar, managing director of Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union will be the guest of honour.

The organisers have lined up expert speakers and scientists from compound feed industry across the country to update the participants with the latest trends prevailing in the compound feed business in India and abroad.
