CFE appointed CPM's exclusive agents in Ireland and the UK

CFE have today been appointed exclusive agents for the supply and service of CPM pelleting equipment in Ireland and the UK. The Co. Kerry, Ireland headquartered company which employs 20 people sees this as a great opportunity. Pelleting equipment is used mainly in the compound feed and biomass markets. The agreement takes immediate effect in Ireland and the UK for equipment representation. Spare parts representation also takes immediate effect in Ireland while the spare parts representation in the UK will commence on 1st January 2014.

Con Lynch C.E.O. of CFE Group says that "Harvest 2020 will require the compound feed industry to increase capacity and become more efficient in the production process. The CPM Europe alliance will allow CFE to sell the complete pelleting solutions to the feed and biomass sector. It will generate increased sales of EUR1.5 million to CFE in year one, growing to a EUR3 million increase by 2016. CFE will grow their employment by approximately five people over this period."

Erik de Graaff, Commercial Director of CPM Europe B.V. says that "CPM Europe are pleased to be associated with a partner of the calibre of CFE who have a strong reputation in the Irish/UK market and are equipped with the expertise and skills to grow and develop the CPM Brand."

Compound Feed Engineering Ltd (CFE) was founded in 1996 in Co. Kerry to supply feed mills and biomass pelleting plants throughout Ireland and the UK with pelleting equipment, engineering maintenance and refurbishing services. The company is headquartered in Castleisland, Co. Kerry and has grown to include a UK facility in St. Helens, Lancashire where it services its UK and International customers.

CPM stands for California Pellet Mill Co. and is part of a worldwide group of companies with a worldwide reputation as specialized pelleting process equipment manufacturers. The history of CPM dates back to 1883 in California’s Napa Valley when the California Pellet Mill Company manufactured presses, crushers and stemmers for winemakers. In 1931, the company revolutionised the feed processing industry with the introduction of the first commercially successful pellet mill. CPM has grown and developed since then to include production capabilities covering the world.
