Kryvoozersky plant in Mykolaiv to expand oilseed processing, will produce sunflower hulls

Oliatorg group’s Kryvoozersky kombikormovy zavod in the Mykolaiv region will undergo a large-scale modernization to expand oilseed processing. After the works the facility is planned to produce up to 350 tonnes of vegetable oil per day and to add on-site refining and deodorization capacity.

The project scope includes construction of a refining and deodorization workshop with wastewater treatment, a raw-material floor storage area of 2,600 sq. m, and installation of three oil storage tanks each with 1,000 m3 capacity. The plant will perform full-cycle processing of sunflower and rapeseed seeds and will manufacture crude and refined deodorized sunflower oil. Projected byproducts include sunflower hulls and fuel pellets.

The report notes the Oliatorg group’s aggregate crushing capacity reaches about 100,000 tonnes of sunflower seed per year. Company records cited show Kryvoozersky kombikormovy zavod was registered on 29 August 2001, has a charter capital of 30 million UAH, is 100% owned by Evgeny Lokh, and is managed by Roman Hryciuk (in post since 1 July 2021).
