Company Profile
Forsbergs, Inc. was founded by Fred Forsberg in 1932 when he designed and built the first gravity separator in Dauphin, Manitoba. The enterprise then moved to Thief River Falls, Minnesota in 1933, giving rise to the Forsberg grain cleaning and hulling company. Over the decades, Forsbergs expanded and constructed a new 50,000 square foot facility in 1976 to house corporate offices, production, engineering, and a modern test facility. Today, Forsbergs is recognized worldwide as a leader in the separation industry, with a customer base spanning Russia, Argentina, Venezuela, Canada, and across the continental United States. Forsbergs primary equipment line remains the vacuum gravity separator, and the company also offers a broad range of equipment including pressure-type gravity separators, vacuum and pressure destoners, screeners and screen-aires, hullers, and aspirators. Forsbergs’ equipment is employed by many of the industrial giants in the United States and Europe for cleaning food products, cereal grains, plastics, minerals, metals, rubber products, and various other materials. The company emphasizes ongoing product development, supported by continuous testing and machine development to meet evolving purity requirements. The founding ethos remains: to build the most dependable equipment, with the Forsbergs name on every machine and the standard that each machine must be worthy of that name. The organization has grown alongside its from-scratch heritage, expanding its reach to international markets while maintaining a strong domestic base. Forsbergs’ ongoing commitment to innovation is evidenced by its investments in testing capabilities and engineering to improve product purity, efficiency, and reliability. This proactive approach positions Forsbergs to continue serving customers with tailored separation solutions and to adapt to new material streams and processing challenges in the future.
