Construction of JFS Milling's new USD$20 million turkey feed milling facility is running three weeks ahead of schedule. It is expected to begin production in January 2014.

Progress on the construction of the feed mill was made as Plant Manager David Christensen addressed the Knox County Chamber of Commerce.

Farbest's new turkey processing plant is also well under construction at the Knox County Industrial Park south of Vincennes.

Farbest Foods is one of the largest turkey producers in the USA, shipping about one million pounds of raw fresh and frozen turkey products daily to brand-name food processors in the U.S. and around the world.

Owned and operated by Farbest Foods, JFS Milling's operations produce approximately 1,800 tons of high-grade, pelleted turkey feed using locally-grown grains. The fresh compound feed is trucked daily to Farbest Foods contract growers and brooder hubs.
