Al Dahra Agriculture, an UAE based company specializing in agriculture and animal feed production, have signed an agreement with the Serbian government. The joint venture agreement of cooperation means that the company will invest a total of USD$400 million into Serbian agriculture.
USD$130 million will be used towards the purchasing of the assets of eight failed agricultural combines, while the rest will go into installing irrigation systems, purchasing modern equipment and current assets needed for the construction of at least five cattle feed mills in the country.
The Serbian finance minister, Mladjan Dinkic, announced that Al Dahra aims to start the construction of the first of these feed mills by the end of August this year.
The feed mill will be built at an agricultural complex in Surcin a district in Belgrade.
