Crown Companies appoint new GM

CPM has announced the appointment of Todd Fierro as Crown Companies general manager. Crown Iron Works Company, the largest supplier of oilseed extraction technology, refining plants and equipment in North America was acquired by CPM in 2007.

Fierro fills a new executive management position responsible for global coordination of all sales, operations, engineering, strategy, and administrative functions. He will be based in Roseville, Minnesota, USA, and will report to Ted Waitman, CEO of CPM.

Fierro brings diverse leadership experience to Crown from his career, which spans from leading start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. He began his career with Ford Motor Company, advancing through the organization to plant manager. In his last position, he was president of Oshkosh Corporation’s commercial segment, focusing on new product introduction and strategic development.

"Todd will complete the global alignment of resources and technologies to strengthen Crown’s leadership position in preparation, extraction, refining and oleochemical solutions," says Waitman. "Under Todd’s leadership, customers can expect continued commitment to engineering excellence and innovation to deliver the lowest total operating cost solution and best customer experience."
