Buhler's ECOtwin is an extrusion system consisting of the extruder, the preconditioner and the periphery. Its capacity is matched to the specific requirements of industrial petfood and fish feed production.
The modular design of the system ensures maximum fulfilment of users needs. The ECOtwin features separation of the process operations with new SME and Density-Control modules which allow independent selection and online control of the cooking degree and the bulk density of the pellets and guarantee top, reproducible product quality. The system is characterized by its high operating reliability and ease of operation. No screw reconfiguration and/or modification of other process parameters such as water content or screw speed necessary.
